Tea for One

I am very persnickety about my tea. I have had too many visits to the doctor's with imaginary UTI's to put anything too acidic in my system anymore.

I have to be in complete control of the amount of tea and the length of brewing in order to avoid any issues. I've got every gadget for brewing my preferred loose leaf that you can imagine but what I just discovered was these empty tea bags that you can fill with your own tea. I got mine from Amazon. They work like a charm. No mess, no fuss. I just fill a pretty little tin can full of them and I am ready for a custom cuppa whenever. Who knew?

I also just discovered Scottish Breakfast tea and it is yummo. I buy a sample bag for just a few bucks which gives me quite a few cups with my scant spoonful. And of course cookies, there has to be cookies. It's no secret that I was self medicating myself with junk food through all my Daddio woes at the beginning of the year. I still have a box of Dots in my nightstands for those nights. I am, however, back on my fairly strict 300 calories every 3 hours diet and a good cuppa and a 70 calorie tea biscuit can really bridge the gap when the tummy says yes but the brain says no. I've got Middle Son's wedding to attend in the spring so I need to get serious about getting back in shape.

  1. I love black tea and can't stand herbal or green teas. I had no idea empty bags could be purchased. Thanks for the heads-up.
