I peaked a little early this year with the Valentine's giveaway so it was hard to find Valentine's things to post about today. There is the wreath on my door to start with.
I treated myself and The Mister to not one but TWO boxes of chocolate. I am a sucker for the big yellow box. My grandmother and my mom loved them. I used to play with the empty boxes and little brown candy wrappers when I was kid.
I've been enjoying the featured Valentine scent from Yankee Candle which is Sun Drenched Apricot Rose. I've been burning the votive in a fancy tea cup and feeling very posh about it.
I only made one lone card from the things in my February card kit. There were just too many other more interesting things from other vendors that caught my attention this time around.
For those of you with tender sensibilities skip this last photo or don't say I didn't warn you.
The Mister gave me this a few years ago for a laugh. Every year since, I have taken it out in February for display and every year he asks me where I got it. Getting old-not for sissies.
Happy Valentine's Day!

I have very fond memories of the yellow boxes also! I used to keep sewing things in it for my Barbie dolls designs!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I've got a yellow box somewhere stuffed wi old greeting cards. I try to avoid the candy aisles from October through April - the chocolate season.
