The State of My Stitching

I got a big surprise in the mail yesterday and it came from very far away. Look at that! It's a cross stitched card. Thanks so much Liana!! I am going to have to learn how to do this because it's just brilliant. I love it. If you haven't looked at all the stitching projects on her blog, you should. It's incredible.

As for my own stitching, August is already in serious production.

My itty bitty skates have hit the wall though.

Look at that tiny needle and those teeny tiny beads. We lost the light in June since we are covered in trees and I can't see well enough to stitch them anymore even with my super strong stitching glasses.

I picked up a pack of these at Walmart so maybe, just maybe I can get back to work. My goal was to have them done by Daughter's August birthday but that ain't happening.

  2. That is the cutest card. I wonder where you get the actual cards. Hmmm. Some internet perusing seems to be in order! :-)

  3. Love the card! I chop up old stitching I started and never finished to go in that kind of card-give it a try! The new lights should help!

  6. What a great card. Cards in general are just such heart warming things to receive but one with handmade craft of sorts is the best. Your skates look great and the thought of those beads gives me a headache, but it's going to be a beautiful gift whenever you finish it! Bead detail! Geez!

  7. You need an Ottlite! I have two and I swear by them. I have a very shady lot, too, so I need these babies.
