School Daze

I said I was taking the summer off but I didn't.

Instead of giving my feet a rest I got talked into an ice dancing class. It's hard. Not so much on the feet but on the head. There's a lot to remember. I have to use cheat sheets to do the patterns.

I picked a good day to pack my camera for blog photos.

The news crew from a local Fox station was there doing a live report during our practice session on how to stay cool in the heat. I hope no one was watching because I like the empty rink.

Two of our production team girls got interviewed and an opportunity to show off their skills. I tried as hard as I could to stay out of the shot but you can still see me go by mumbling to myself with my cheat sheets in hand from time to time much to my dismay. The rink taped it and put it on a loop so it played over and over in the lobby. Oh, well it could have been worse. They could have been there during class time. The sight of me trying to follow along with the other more experienced skaters probably looks a lot like Lucy when she used to try to join in Ricky's chorus line.

  1. I still have to say ---- any time on the skinny blades is a GOOD time.

  2. I am so impressed. I can't even rollerskate and here you are ice-skating. And doing dancing at the same time! Is there anything you can't do? I wish I could see that newscast. Blessings,
