Merry Grinchmas

Most years I work myself into a frazzle trying to make something for someone for the holidays.

Not this year. I am already frazzled enough without the holidays so this year I'm taking a break.

What I am doing is making myself a pair of holiday socks in the Jingle colorway of Felici using the Everyday Hermoine's pattern. I'm knitting both at the same time in order to keep the stripes the same and they are flying off the needles. I will be wearing these Christmas Eve-if I stay away from the Advent Scarf KAL which I am pretty sure I won't.

Edited to add: I caved. I just bought the yarn and beads for the scarf KAL. Shame on me. In my defense, I got the three skeins of laceweight for only $2.50 each during a Cyber Monday sale.

  1. I love the Felici yarn line! The socks will be fun to wear! I am always knitting but never or rarely do it for Christmas gifts...No pressure that way!

  5. I love your christmassy socks. I think you and are on the same thought process. However 2 at a time is too smart and fast and clever for me, ha!

I'm really irritated that felici is discontinued. They brought back a few colors for a hot minute, but I'm so irritated, I won't buy what's remaining out of spite (and the fact I have plenty of sockyarn ...)
