Bird's Eye View

My linked bird's eyes are linking. I can't believe it.

They are hard to see but if you look at the yellow stripes at the top and squint you can see them better. You really have to squint to see the blue ones but they are there if you look at the right angle. Weaving is weird that way.

This is what the weaving draft looks like and this is only half of it. I can only work on it when I am all alone and the house is quiet which is almost never.

In order to keep my place and keep those bird's eyes linking, I am using a lifeline of red thread. Thank goodness I know my way around lace knitting or I would have been completely lost. Getting lost in weaving is way worse than getting lost in lace-and that is pretty awful.

  1. So, so pretty! Love the colors and the pattern. Weaving is something I'd love to try.

  2. It's beautiful! I'm so glad all the hard work ends with these results! The life line is genius, getting lost in the draft is not good. Enjoy the loom dance when you get in the zone!

  4. I really like this. Great color combinations. Um, is that the maths I see? ugh. Lace and maths. You're just showing off now, ha! I am taking an indefinite lace break.
