When Was My Last Tetanus Shot?

Spent the day playing with my little drum carder using up all the bits of leftovers from recent combing adventures.

Ended up with a handful of ouchies.

And one cute little batt.

  1. Oh, that looks just lovely!

I've been pricing out various drum carders lately. I just can't afford one (although I'm lucky enough I can go use one locally at a rate of $10/half-day, finding the half day is vanishingly rare). I have been using my hand-cards for blending, tho. And while it takes a lot longer, it's pretty relaxing.

I'm still jealous ;) Do you love it? I'm not knowledgeable enough yet, so I have to ask what kind is it?

  2. It's a Strauch Petite and I do love it. The little batts are so cute. It was expensive (for me anyway). I used last year's income tax return to buy it and am so glad I did. I still have a lot to learn though, as you can see my mangled hands!

  3. Our LYS that lets you use their carders (for a small fee) keeps bandages nearby. So I'm not sure that gets any better with time ;)
