All Wet

Yesterday was the rainy day I've been waiting for. It actually rained and rained hard almost all day. It was the kind of day where you make a pot of tea instead of just a cup. I love those kind of days.

I watched old movies on TCM and finished the Mermaid socks. Somehow I managed to get an ugly ladder down the side of one of them. I used the Magic Loop so this is odd but oh, well...after a few washings you won't notice. I hope.

Now I've got my second little ball of sock yarn to add to my ginormous bin of leftovers. One day I am going to have to do something with it all. Maybe. Maybe not.

  1. Such pretty socks. My last pair had an icky ladder too but it disappeared after I washed and blocked them. I don’t usually have ladders either, even though I use dpn’s. I love those little balls of yarn and use them up in my blanket squares. You should start one of those. :-)

  4. It has been so, SO soggy here. Glad my house is at the top of the hill. I'm sure the creek at the bottom is over it's banks by now.

The mermaid socks are a gorgeous color.

  5. The socks are just beautiful. Don't remember if mermaid is the name of the pattern or yarn but it is certainly appropriate for those socks. Sounds like yesterday was a wonderful day.
