Banking Holiday

The  Mister and I took a victory lap to several banks yesterday to celebrate the closing of his late mother's estate.  She passed away a year ago on the 5th and after tons of work we are finally free to divvy up her cash to all the patiently waiting heirs. While The Mister took care of business, Pup and I sat in the car and knit. I am happy to say I finally got past those two gussets. Hallelujah.

I've been in a terrible knit hole lately. I have zero interest in the wintery projects I've got on the needles. I am also not inclined to want to start something new in spite of lots of pattern searching on Ravelry. I want to knit, I need to knit but I don't know what to knit. My big basket of kitchen cotton's been calling to me. I think I need to listen.

What else? When you don't know what to knit, knit something quick and useful. Dishcloths it is. For now.

Congrats on finishing up you mother-in-law's estate. I'm sure that is a huge weight off your mind.

  4. Hurrah for dishcloths! They really are wonderful little in-between projects that can give that finished project happiness!

  5. Congrats on the gussets and closing the estate. When I saw that pile of cotton I thought circular dishcloths. Then I saw your next photo. Dishcloths are perfect.

  7. Settling an estate takes a while, doesn't it? Nice work on that and your other stuff as well as homing in on the dishcloth! I love making them, too.

  8. You are so lucky. I was able to split up my Dad's estate but had to hold back on the last $4,000 for two years and then still am waiting for a tax check from 2015 which needs to be deposited before I can fully close out the account. I have contacted them 5 times about that stupid $142, it is the principle of it all now.

  9. Your socks look great and so glad to hear the estate is settled (some go on forever!). I was just thinking maybe I should plan to knit dishcloths while we are off camping in a couple of weeks.

  10. I love making (and using) those hand knitted dishcloths! The socks look great! Congrats on the estate close. Having finished my Mom's estate a couple of years ago I know what a relief it is once it's all put to bed.
