At 11:30 am yesterday I hit the wall. All of the projects I had brought along bored me so I packed them all up. This is why I have so many auxiliary projects back at home. I bore easily. Thank goodness I am heading back there today. The quiet was starting to get to me.
The four kitties weren't much company. I'm a not to be trusted outsider to them as I should be. My cat allergy makes me keep a respectful distance from them so all I ever get is wary stares at best.
After that brief window of sun late Saturday, it's been all rain and thunderstorms. I spent the last day of my vacation curled up with a book that I had picked up from the little lending library hutch at the local coffee shop and then streamed some old movies on TCM. I've got a long drive tomorrow and a week of hard labor ahead of me with all that drywall that needs to be put up in the bathroom. A day of rest, while out of the ordinary for me, was probably a good idea.
The cats do indeed look like they are judging you! Safe travels back to the construction zone.
ReplyDeleteI always say there's no place like home. I love getting away for a break, but it is always so wonderful to get home again. Safe travels!!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to have some time away so you can be excited about being home again!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised - with your allergies - that the cats aren't all over you. Our boys always seem to make a beeline for people who are even mildly allergic to them!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels home!
