I must be feeling better because yesterday I re-arranged my mess of a living room, put up curtains for the first time in three years and hung some new Christmas lights. The Mister and I are too old and wobbly to be climbing around putting up outside lights anymore so this is it. I had shoved all the boxes into one corner and finally had a bit of floor space and a corner that kinda looks like a living room-for now. When we start putting the new flooring in the kitchen/dining area it will all have to come back but for now I will have space for a tree-on the 16th. I never put one up until my birthday or the first snow. Whichever comes first. I'm betting on the 16th but I would love to be wrong.

Very pretty! We still haven't made a decision about a tree...Mabel...
ReplyDeleteI think you need to do a little decorating to get into the true spirit of Christmas. It's funny how a string or two of lights can work that magic
ReplyDeleteThat window , it brings a 1ight to my morning. Thank you Deb
ReplyDeleteI still haven’t decided about displaying a Christmas tree this year - I love to sit with lights on at night but don’t like rearranging everything to bring it in the apartment.
ReplyDeleteCould be Wednesday for your tree! We are supposed to get some snow then. Maybe you will too!
ReplyDeleteWe used to do lights all along the roof of our Orlando house. We can't do that here. So, we put out lights in the bushes. Not the same, but still quite pretty and the neighbors seem to appreciate them.
What a pretty bit of decoration. It really lights up that corner doesn't it? So beautiful. I hope you get your tree soon.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
You sure will enjoy some decorations and a bit of festivity!
