Ta da....I got Mr. Snowman finished. He was a big one. I also had to rip out the red mitten on the left and put it where it belonged which is right under Mr. Snowman. It was one block over. How I made that mistake I'll never know. This week I've got two little deer that go on either side of that white heart to stitch. That should be doable if things stay calm around here.
It doesn't look very impressive but I finished two more 10 by 10 blocks on the lawn. I've got another little weird sheepie in the works. Maybe I'll get the rest of that bush done this week and finish that row. Maybe.
I finished two more blocks on the quilt but there is still sooooo much more to do. I can't believe how much more there is to do. It's just a little tiny lap quilt but there you have it.
I feel terrible that I haven't picked up my crewel project but I just can't. It's fuzzy. I can't do fuzzy right now at all. I've still got residual hairy tongue from that no good, nasty, just plain awful bout of thrush that's been driving me nuts for three weeks now. I've even been to my family doctor complaining but it's just going to take it's own time to clear up-considering my advanced age and dry mouth...ahem. So I just can't deal with hairy stuff right now. No Lopi Altheda. No spinning. No hairy crewel yarn. Not now. Nope. Just looking at it gives me the willies.
I'm sorry that you're still dealing with thrush. That's no fun at all.
ReplyDeleteYour cross-stitch projects are looking great though. Love that sweet snowman. He's SO cute. It's such a happy little project.
I haven't done crewel in so long. I should order something small for the new house. That would be fun to work on.
Take care and feel better.
Blessings,
Betsy
Beautiful stitching! That winter piece is so cute Deb! Hope your Thrush clears up soon so you can get back to all the fuzzy goodness.
ReplyDeleteGreat stitching and that 'fuzzy' project will keep. Did you read about the increase in thrush because of mask wearing-it made me think of you!
ReplyDeleteA very happy(not hairy) little snowman!
ReplyDeleteThe winter sampler is cute: it makes me smile. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteAsk the pharmacist for gentian violet. You can look it up first , it is used as an antifungal only takes one coating but the inside of your mouth will be stained purple , but it works like a charm for thrush.
ReplyDeleteI am not a doctor, don't play one on tv , nor on the interwebs. :)
ReplyDeleteThe thrush is no better...that is the pits. projects are looking good:)
ReplyDeleteLove your stitching! You inspired me to check out my X-stitch stash. Thanks! And then there's the yarn/fabric. Feel better soon! BTW, you are NOT old!
ReplyDeleteThe sampler is so cute! Liana
