Wednesday WIPs
Slowly but surely The Mister's Riddari is heading to the finish line. The rounds are getting mercifully shorter. The green yoke might surprise you. I let The Mister be in control of the colors and sizing and this is what he wanted. He wanted extra long arms and something colorful. I think he nailed it.
I have the thumb to knit on the last Holm mitten. The rainbow Glennis Cowl is in her purple era although it's hard to see in this photo.
The two pairs of socks I have on the needles haven't changed much but I have a few more rows on what I am calling my "back room knits". These two projects live in the sunny sewing room and when I need a quiet moment I head back there with an audio book. The Winter Doodle cowl is close to having its first chart completed and I am very pleased that I managed to pick up and cast on square number 2 of the Hue Shift Afghan. It did take me two tries. I have to say that the striped squares are a lot more fun to work on than the solid ones. When I get Riddari off the needles I can see this project taking up a space in the living area for some daily attention. It's quite addicting.
All of your knitting is looking good and Riddari is so close! I dug out some fingering yarn leftovers with the intention of knitting some mitered squares, but I thought I might benefit from some planning. I do like the beginning of your Hue Shift afghan and also how the squares are attached so there's no sewing at the end. I'll look forward to seeing more of it
ReplyDeletei called my mitred square afghan the "Crack-ghan" for a reason!
ReplyDeleteRiddari is looking great!
Great progress on the Riddari sweater! The mittens look good and you can finish them and wear them! I'm glad you are liking the miter square knitting!
ReplyDeleteRiddari looks great (I like the colors The Mister chose). And your mittens!! There is still plenty of winter left.
ReplyDeleteRiddari is almost done! The Mister did a great job and I'll bet he's excited to be able to wear it. The mittens look great too.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
The Mister has a good eye, love the colors…and your handiwork always looks so perfect….love the mittens too! Happy day, Virginia
ReplyDeleteI too like the green in Riddari. You are so close to finishing. The mittens look warm and so do the mitered squares. And you must be feeling better.
