Friday Fluff: An Almost FO
How it started.
How it ended. On my "day off" this week I kitchenered the ends of the lace border on the Pi Shawl together. All I have to do now is weave in those ends and block it.
Once it was free from all the needles I was disappointed in the size. It's very small. I could have used up even more of that handspun I still have hanging around. I thought I had followed the same directions I had followed for my first one but it seems I didn't.
I had the same four stockinette sections but I didn't add a large lace section so of course it would be smaller than this one. This one is a shawl. The new one is a neck warmer. I'm not ripping out that never ending lace border to add more length to it so I'll just have to happy with its petite size.
It is gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeletePetite scarves are all the thing right now. You'll be right on trend.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely with all those colors and I'm sure blocking will give it a bit more length.
It looks pretty large to me! I hope it warms your neck well.
ReplyDeleteSorry.
ReplyDeleteIt's still gorgeous! It will still keep you warm!
ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteMaybe a good hard blocking will make it grow quite a bit! It is pretty, nonetheless!
ReplyDeleteBoth shawls are very pretty. Maybe the new one will grow a bit when soaked and blocked.
