Wednesday WIPs

One quiet morning last week I sat down to figure out the heel on the Cozy Quilt socks. It's a short row heel and my brain is not wired for short rows. I did manage to start getting something that looks like a heel but I'll have  to wait until it's done to pass judgement. We've been wrangling Grands since yesterday morning and should be on our way home tonight. I can guarantee I won't be picking this up to finish for a few days. I'm going to need some recovery time.

Speaking of brain teasers, I finished another row on the entrelac dishcloth. The top triangles come next. Wish me luck.

My other projects don't look much different but I did start another pair of socks in anticipation of our long trek up to Daughter's house. They are another pair of Regias and they are on the same needle. Two on one needle seems to be my preferred method of travel knitting these days. Less to lose along the way.

  1. Your cozy quilt sock is quite a nice design and that looks like a heel to me. I think you may be actively staving off Alzheimer's with the entrelac dishcloth. It's almost too pretty to use!

  2. I’m still loving those quilt socks. Good luck on the heels. I’ve attempted entrelac a few times with disastrous results. Don’t know if I’ll ever try again.

  3. Looks like you have plenty to keep the ol' noodle busy.

  4. I made an entrelac shawl that was all the rage in IK probably two decades ago--it was Lady Somebody's Shawl. It is the most beautiful thing I've ever done--entrelac is magic!

  5. I like the new sock start! You will get the sock heels figured out! Nice job on the dishcloth!
