True Story: The Mister has a very Irish surname and his family has always claimed strong Irish roots until....I convinced him to do the DNA thing. It came back that he was only 1% Irish thanks to his great, great, great grandfathers's penchant for fair haired lasses it seems. He's mostly Germanic European. Ha,ha. Moi, on the other hand who never had an inkling that I had any Irish heritage came back as 20% Irish. Quelle surprise for someone who always thought they were French.
*If you haven't already met this hilarious Irish dude on YouTube make it a point to do so. If this guy ruled the world we'd all be in a better place. And yes, Garron you are delicious.

Now I have something else to check out on youtube. First, Asian Mommy cleaning videos and then Garron. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWe were surprised by some of our DNA results, too!
ReplyDeleteI've been so tempted to do the DNA thing... as far as I know my family is a mixed bag of western European - Welsh, Scottish, and German mostly according to the sources. But there was also a lot of hanky panky that we know about - and if there's that much hanky panky we are aware of - how much hanky panky must still be hidden!
ReplyDeleteI'm Irish by Marriage and I milk that for the whole month.
ReplyDeleteI have a smattering of Irish according to the DNA thing. In fact, our family has a smattering of nearly everything possible thanks to my Mom's side of the family. Ha! My Dad was full blooded German. Dennis is mostly Scottish and British. We could live anywhere in the world and be at home!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommendation. I'll have to look Garron up.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
