It's been all socks, all the time around here this week. I am determined to get these off the needles by the end of the month. All I have left to do are the toes but...
Somehow in all this sock drama, I did manage a few minutes to sew the neckline steek and pick up the shoulder stitches for the 3 needle bind off. I'm supposed to do it with the sweater turned inside out so it doesn't leave a bump. I'll take the designer's word for it because I've never done this before and will have to spend some time learning to do a 3 needle bind off. At least I don't have to cut that neck steek yet which is a good thing. There's been way too much knitting drama around here this week and I need to hit the re-set button first.
Oh those adorable baby socks! Maybe another pair won't tale so long? I am starting to really appreciate the fact I have tiny feet. Sock knitting goes much faster.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed by all those socks and you're casting on more, plus the sweater neckline. Here's to no knitting drama and some finished socks in the next week!
ReplyDeleteThe steaking continues to make me nervous.
ReplyDeleteSo, so much going on! But it all looks good. Hang in there.
ReplyDelete3 needle bind off: quick, easy and way neater than trying to match stitches for a sewn seam (and less fussy than Kitchener: I have to have complete silence for that one!)
ReplyDeleteTake your time, you'll be fine!
Look at those tiny little socked feetsies! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, the socks on grand are so cute--never a hardship to make them for his big brother! So close on the other three pairs!
