A New Look

Hello there! I think I've already shown off my new Brambleberry goggles but I don't think I've shown off my new breathing mask.

It's got sheepies! I had no idea they made this type of mask until I saw some folks using them for those terrible Australian fires. The experts say they don't do diddly for the tiny particles in smoke but they work fine for mixing lye and the nasty stuff you need to make bath bombs.

It has pads inside that you can change and double or triple up. It's a lot more comfortable than my old paper ones. I found mine on Amazon, of course.

That's pretty much all I have to share today. It was one of those days where the only thing I did was follow The Mister around trying to help while he cussed up a storm about crooked walls. Needless to say, the molding installation didn't go as smoothly as we would have liked but we are halfway finished and that's better than nothing.

  1. What cute masks. Too bad they don't work for smoke. It seems most summers I have to wear one outside because of the wildfire smoke we have up here every year for the past several years. They are much cuter than the plain white ones they recommend to us. My cardiologist is adament I wear one and they're so ugly. I like the sheep! You know me and sheep. :-)
Hope tomorrow goes better for you and the Mister.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  3. Halfway is a good sign! I would never have thought to look for cloth masks on Amazon! I have to use a mask at certain times and hate the paper masks; especially like the idea of being able to replace/layer the pads inside! Brilliant!

  4. Cute mask.

That's one of the things about renovating an older home --------nothing is even and there is ALWAYS a surprise.

  5. It's so much nicer when an item you have to use is pretty. Since you are halfway thru with the molding, that means it is downhill from now on. Hopefully, there will be straighter walls to work with also.

  6. The Mister sounds like my Dad... there was a lot of cussing about crooked walls and uneven floors when he was working on his house a couple years back. I tried to stay away as much as possible during the reno. Lol.
Your sheepie mask is too cute! I should wear something when I'm dying yarn, but I never do. I should also wear loves, but I hate them.

  8. What a great mask-I need one for the woodworking!
Molding application is no fun-Bill never gets to it in either of the three houses we've renovated!
