I finished the colorwork part of the sleeve and now I am faced with miles I plain old knit. It gave me the itch for more colorwork.
I went digging through patterns and my giant basket of palette.
I even thought about this kit I have.
Then I remembered I already had this in progress. Duh.
I knit a few rows and then realized I had made a big boo boo so I had to rip back all the rows I had just knit and then some. I just ripped this thing back to the armpits so I was not exactly having a good time. It's back in the 90's here with high humidity so nothing is really making me happy. I need a cool breeze and another gin and tonic. Won't this summer ever end?
Sorry about the ripping. I’ve been at the lake since Sunday and it’s been in the 40’s at night. Daytimes have been 70’s so NO complaining here. I wish I could send you some. The smoke has even been better because of the cool temperatures.

Oh Deb. I know this weather gets to you. Its like cabin fever in reverse. Wishing you breezes to cool you. Wishing you a cooler night! HUGS
ReplyDeleteI seldom do colorwork, but I admire the work of others. Despite the frogging, the sweater is stunning.
ReplyDeleteLast week we had several days of wonderful weather - 70s, low humidity - and I even wore a sweatshirt when I walked in the morning. It was wonderful but back to hot and humid and no change in the ten day forecast. I do remember that last summer just would not end. Hoping for an early fall that will last for a long time. Your various projects are all beautiful. I think you have enough variety to keep yourself entertained for quite some time.
ReplyDeleteOh, can I ever relate! I've done a bunch of tinking lately, too, and it's not fun.
ReplyDeleteI've completely lost my knitting mojo because of this heat and humidity! Mostly just doing embroidery and clothes-sewing while (so thankfully) sitting in the air-conditioning!
ReplyDeleteMy sympathies on the weather. I am not a fan of the 90's.
ReplyDeleteI am a tinker. I just seem to make mistakes on a regular basis!
Busy busy!
ReplyDeleteI feel for you with the unknitting. I really wanted to finish a pair of socks last night, all I had to do was a contrast toe, but! for some reason I reduced unevenly. I could leave it, as I got to the right stitch count, but it feels off, so now I know what I must do.
That colorwork is gorgeous! High temps + humidity - not so much.
ReplyDeleteThe stocking stitch will go fast with the sleeves, at least. Bummer about ripping out colorwork!
