Sitting and Knitting

Screened in porches are also good for knitting.

I am making good headway on the KAL socks. That's a turned heel right there.

One of the Halloween mitts are done minus the five rows of ribbing I need to do on the thumb.

You see how close I am to the last corner of the shawl from hell. I'll have one more short edge to do and then this will be in the history books thank goodness.

I've even been working on my travel socks since sometimes you just need a mindless knit to keep your hands busy.

That huge ball of yarn fits nicely in the pocket of my new apron. I took lots of pictures when I was making it last Saturday but I forgot to download them before I left so that post will have to wait.  That big ball of Hawthorne fits in the big pockets very nicely. I can walk around and play with the Golden and knit at the same time. He is easily amused-so am I.

  3. Don't you think you should treat yourself and the outdoor kitties to a nice screened in porch at home?

  6. No knitting will be done here today; I'm babysitting my almost two-year-old grandson. All knitting projects are safely stowed away and the living room is strategically littered with his favorite toys.
Your travel sock yarn looks very much like something I'm working on. I chose the yarn because of the name, "Melted Box of Crayons" :P

  8. This post reeks of fall! All those beautiful fall projects. I'm looking forward to seeing a picture of the full shawl when it's finished. What pattern is that first picture? I love how it swirls!

  9. I wish we had a screened in porch! Mom has a nice big covered porch (no screen) and it's lovely to knit on.
Dave and I almost bought a house with an amazing four-season sun-room. We walked away from it in the end and sometimes I really regret it (even though we did the right thing)
