Needle Work

Clickity clack. Socks are getting done. Slowly but surely.

I am on the heel flap with both of these. Both pairs are such a joy to pick up, I am in no rush to finish them.

I am in a rush for my Hap to be done by the first weekend in May but I think it's a lost cause. There are around 75 pattern repeats and I am only getting two or three done a day. If that.

It's a very easy pattern. It's already a TV/Netflix knit. It will look better when I can get those lacy points blocked out. I like how the green is striping.

I finished plying the last of it and came away with a bit more. Sad to say, but it is woefully under plied so it looks like I reverted back to my old bad habits. I've got my fingers crossed I don't end up needing this because then I will be faced with having to fix it and that doesn't sound like fun.

I shamelessly stole this from Malibrigo's Twitter feed this morning to wish everyone a happy Women's Day. We need a little more of US and a little less of THEM IMHO. Go get'em ladies!

  3. I like the socks you have growing-especially the orange ones! The shawl is gorgeous-hang in there; you never know what may happen with that shawl getting done on time!

  4. PS-I went and looked at the pattern by Kate Davies and I bought one for two reasons-the yarn I just dyed is Shetland and the color is this emerald/mossy green-I know what the shawl will look like for me!!!! Thanks for the inspiration!

  5. Slow but sure wins the race, of course. The Hap is so beautiful. I still am afraid to learn to spin. I have my lovely spindle and I adore looking at it. Someday....

  8. I'm loving your Hap! I like how the green is striping too. It sure has a lot of pattern repeats though...yikes...75 is a lot. If you're getting 2 or 3 done a day you just might get it done in time though. You've got 57 days. I bet you'll get it done. ;-)

  9. Great knits. I could not take off for the day without women in the workforce. SO sad because so many of us have to work no matter the cause.
