Woof Woof

When the acrylic sweater I just finished Pup proved to be no match for the cold and snow last week, I had no choice but to dig into the massive Lopi stash.

Lopi is the itchiest, scratchiest stuff on the planet but you can't beat it for really cold weather. It's waterproof and warm. It's perfect for snow.

I'm not sure how Pup is going to handle the rough stuff up next to her bare tummy skin. I'm wondering if thrums might be the answer. My thrummed mittens have been a life saver in this cold.  Hmmmm....

  8. Your new pup's sweater is so lovely and will toasty warm for her in the winter too!

What about a thin layer of fleece over the thrums for warmth and her paws don't catch on the thrummed pieces of wool?

P.S. I love reading your blog about your family and seeing all of the different projects you work on.
